Commander of the Navy pays courtesy call on Hon. President

The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Damian Fernando made his first official call on the Hon. President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Anura Kumara Dissanayake at the Presidential Secretariat on 8 July 2026.

During this courtesy call, held in keeping with established protocol, the Hon. President extended best wishes to Vice Admiral Damian Fernando on his appointment as the 27^th Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy and wished him success in the discharge of duties in the new role.

The Commander of the Navy presented a memento to the Hon. President, to mark the importance of this occasion.
