ජපාන සමුද්‍රීය ස්වයං ආරක්‍ෂක බලකායට අයත් AKEBONO නෞකාව නිල සංචාරය සාර්ථකව අවසන් කරමින් දිවයිනෙන් පිටත් වෙයි

The Japan Maritime Self-Defence Force (JMSDF) ship AKEBONO which arrived in Sri Lanka on a goodwill visit, departed the island today (31 Oct 25). The Sri Lanka Navy bade a customary farewell to the departing ship at the Port of Colombo, following naval traditions.

Meanwhile, the Commanding Officer of the ship, Commander ARAI Katsutomo interacted with the Commander Western Naval Area, Rear Admiral Jagath Kumara onboard AKEBONO. Additionally, the crew of the vessel participated in a beach clean-up drive and a friendly cricket match with the Sri Lanka Navy, strengthening ties between the two naval forces.

During the port call, the crew visited local tourist attractions while Sri Lanka Navy personnel toured the ship to observe its operations.
