இந்திய கடற்படைக் கப்பலான ‘INS TARANGINI’ உத்தியோகபூர்வ விஜயத்திற்காக தீவை வந்தடைந்தது

The Sail Training Ship of the Indian Navy, INS TARANGINI arrived at the Port of Trincomalee on a formal training visit on 27 Feb 26. The visiting ship was welcomed by the Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) in compliance with time-honoured naval traditions.

INS TARANGINI is a 54m long platform which is manned by a crew of 36 and is commanded by Commander Nitin Gajjar.

Meanwhile, Officer Under-trainees and Sea Cadets are expected to participate in sail training familiarization programmes aboard the ship and observe its operational functions during its stay in the island.

Furthermore, the ship's crew is scheduled to take part in programmes organized by the Sri Lanka Navy to enhance camaraderie between the two navies, as well as visit several tourist attractions in the country.

இந்திய கடற்படைக் கப்பலான ‘INS TARANGINI’ 2026 பிப்ரவரி 27 உத்தியோகபூர்வ விஜயத்திற்காக தீவை வந்தடைந்ததுடன், மேலும் இலங்கை கடற்படை குறித்த கப்பலை கடற்படை மரபுகளுக்கு இணங்க திருகோணமலை துறைமுகத்தில் வரவேற்றனர்.

திருகோணமலை துறைமுகத்தை வந்தடைந்துள்ள SAIL TRAINING SHIP வகைக்குரிய ‘INS TARANGINI’ என்ற கப்பல் 54 மீட்டர் நீளம் கொண்டதுடன், 36 பேரினை கொண்ட அங்கத்துவ குழுவினரைக் கொண்டுள்ளது, மேலும் இந்தக் கப்பலின் கட்டளை அதிகாரியாக கமாண்டர் Nitin Gajjar கடமையாற்றுகின்றார்.

‘INS TARANGINI’ கப்பல் தீவில் தங்கியிருக்கும் காலத்தில், கடற்படை பயிற்சி அதிகாரிகள் மற்றும் கடல் கெடட்கள் (Sea Cadets) கப்பலில் நடத்தப்படும் பயிற்சித் திட்டங்களில் பங்கேற்கவும், கப்பலின் செயல்பாட்டு செயல்திறனைக் கண்காணிக்கவும் திட்டமிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.

இரு நாடுகளின் கடற்படைகளுக்கு இடையிலான நட்பை மேம்படுத்துவதற்காக இலங்கை கடற்படை ஏற்பாடு செய்துள்ள நிகழ்ச்சிகளிலும், தீவின் பல பகுதிகளுக்குச் சென்று முக்கிய இடங்களைப் பார்வையிடவும் கப்பலின் பணியாளர்கள் திட்டமிடப்பட்டுள்ளனர்.
