Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne paid a courtesy call on the Archbishop of Colombo, His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith on 24th August 2015 at the Archbishop’s House in Colombo in order to receive his blessing on the new appointment.

The officials of Sri Lanka Ex-Servicemen’s Association called on the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne at the Naval Headquarters in Colombo on 24th August 2015. The team was headed by the president of the association, Brigadier KA Gnanaweera.

As a formality of the assumption of duties as the 20th Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne paid a curtsey call on the Inspector General of Police Mr. N.K. Illangakoon, at the Police Headquarters on 24th August 2015.

A delegation of National Defence College, New Delhi, India headed by Senior Directing Staff, Major General RPS Bhaduria, visited the Naval Headquarters in Colombo on 24th August 2015.

His Excellency the President Mr. Maithripala Sirisena made an observation tour to Naval Base, Trincomalee on 23rd August 2015.
