As per the directives of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne, the Northern Naval Command commenced several Soccer coaching camps for the school children who are in the Islands of Jaffna Peninsula.

Naval personnel attached to SLNS Vijaya, Kalpitiya in Northwestern Naval Command arrested three local fishermen engaged in illegal fishing using unauthorized nets in the seas off Ippantivu and Periyaarachchal yesterday (8).
