Navy declares open a Reverse Osmosis Plant in Hambegamuwa
As part of the Sri Lanka Navy’s community service programmes carried out with the intention of preventing Chronic Interstitial Nephritis in Agricultural Communities (CINAC), a Reverse Osmosis system was installed at the premises of Hambegamuwa Junior School in Monaragala for the use of the school children and general public in the area.

Navy apprehends 14 local fishermen engaged in illegal fishing
Naval personnel attached to SLNS Gokanna located in Kinniya in the Eastern Naval Command arrested 14 local fishermen who engaged in illegal fishing activities in the sea area off Upparu yesterday (22).

Artists who performed in the Buddhist Cantata “Pirinivan Mangalya” felicitated
Following the directives of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne, the artists who took part in Maestro Premasiri Khemadasa’s Buddhist Cantata “Pirinivan Mangalya” held at Nelum Pokuna Theatre on 25th August 2016 with the patronage of Prime Minister Hon. Ranil Wickremesinghe , were feted at a grand felicitation ceremony at the Light House Galley last evening (22).
