His Excellency the President Maithripala Sirisena declared open a newly built two storeyed Relic Chamber (Dathu Mandiraya) and Alms Giving Hall (Dana Shalawa) and vested them in Sangha during a religious ceremony held at Rangiri Ulpath Rajamaha Viharaya yesterday (21).

Navy arrests 21 local fishermen engaged in illegal fishing
Naval personnel attached to SLNS Therapuththa located in Silawathurai in the North Western Naval Command arrested 21 local fishermen who engaged in illegal fishing activities using unauthorized nets in the seas off Silawathurai on 20th and 21st October 2016.
