To face-off possible flood threat that could pose in Akuregoda area during heavy downpour expected in the following months, the Navy is undertaking preventive measures as of now.

A group of naval personnel attached to the Northern Naval Command apprehended 4 local fishermen for engaging in illegal fishing activities using unauthorized nets in the sea area of Vedithalathivu today (7th June).

Sri Lanka Navy is currently engaging in several cleaning efforts at various sites in Kelaniya, to face-off possible flood threat that could pose during possible heavy downpour in the following months.
