Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Sri Lanka meets Commander of the Navy
A Russian delegation headed by the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Sri Lanka, H.E. Yury B. Materiy visited the Naval Headquarters in Colombo and met Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva yesterday (03rd April). During the meeting, they held cordial discussions on several matters of bilateral importance and exchanged mementoes.
Captain Mikhailovich Krokhmal, Commanding Officer of the Russian naval ship, ‘Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union Gorshkov’, Defence Attaché (DA) of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Sri Lanka, Colonel Denis I. Shkoda and a group of officials were also present on this occasion.
Meanwhile, a delegation led by the Commanding Officer of the ship also met with Commander Western Naval Area, Rear Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne and held cordial discussions. The occasion culminated with an exchange of mementoes.
