Ten (10) persons who engaged in illegal fishing in Karativu, Periyaarachchal and Uchchamunai sea areas were apprehended by Navy, yesterday (10^th April).

A troop of Naval personnel attached to Eastern Naval Command in coordination with China Bay Police, apprehended 2 persons who were using explosive (Dynamite) for illegal fishing, during a raid carried out at Marble beach in Trincomalee, yesterday (9^th April).

Sri Lanka Navy has been tasked to undertake drug abuse prevention programmes which are operated under ‘Rata Wenuwen Ekata Sitimu’ – the national programme set in motion by His Excellency the President.
