A press briefing to make media personnel known on people smuggling, its repercussions and its legal framework was held at the auditorium of Media Centre at the Ministry of Defence today (2^nd January 2020). The event was conducted by Media Coordinator to the Commander of the Navy, Lieutenant Commander Isuru Suriyabandara.

Few detonators used for illegal fishing were recovered by the Navy during a raid carried out in coordination with Police, in Mannar area on 2^nd January 2020.
