Sri Lanka Navy won 02 awards under Government Institution and NGO category at the SLT Zero One Awards for Digital Excellence 2018/19 organized by Sri Lanka Telecom for the third time.

The Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU), under the patronage of its President, Mrs. Arundathi Udithamala Jayaneththi, organized a range of programmes in view of the International Women's Day 2020. The event was held at the Light House Galley, Colombo on 10^th March 2020.

The Kayaking Championship of the 11^th Defence Services Games was held at the Diyawanna Water sports Centre on 09^th and 10^th March 2020.

Two persons who had grown local cannabis secretly were apprehended during a combined operation conducted at Maththala area by Navy in coordination with Police Anti Corruption Unit-Hambanthota, on 10^th March 2020.
