Navy receives electric fans from Southern Airduct (Pvt) Ltd

Southern Airduct (Pvt) Ltd handed over electric fans to the Sri Lanka Navy on 04th May 2020.

The Navy is carrying out a number of programmes to control the spread of the novel coronavirus in the country as well as to quarantine personnel. These efforts are well supported by various institutions by providing a wide range of material aids. In support of the Navy’s efforts, the Southern Airduct (Pvt) Ltd handed over electric fans to be used in isolation centres. These centres are maintained by the Navy to separate their personnel in accordance with social distancing guidelines, to curb the spread of the virus within naval premises. The electric appliances were received by Commander Southeastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Senarath Wijesuriya at the Command Headquarters.

On behalf of the Sri Lanka Navy, Commander Southeastern Naval Area expressed his gratitude to the Southern Airduct (Pvt) Ltd for this donation made for the benefit of naval personnel who are rendering a yeoman service to fight off the outbreak of COVID-19.
