‘Sambuddha Raja Mandapaya’of Pepiliyana Sunethra Devi Pirivena vested in Maha Sanga

The newly constructed upstairs of the wooden ‘Sambuddha Raja Mandapaya’ of Pepiliyana Sunethra Devi Pirivena was vested in Ven. Maha Sanga at the temple premises today (19th June 2022). The event held under the auspices of Defence Secretary General Kamal Gunaratne (Retd) was also attended by Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne. Sri Lanka Navy contributed to this meritorious undertaking with its able manpower.

The wooden ‘Sambuddha Raja Mandapaya’ of the temple was constructed under the wise counsel of Chief Prelate of Pepiliyana Sunethra Maha Devi Pirivena and Parivenadhipathi, Rajakeeya Panditha Venerable Prof. Medagoda Abayatissa Thero as well as with sponsorship of donors and manpower made possible by the Sri Lanka Navy.

In parallel with the event, navy-renovated Piriven Complex and the Sunday School building there were also declared open on 19th June.

Members of Venerable Maha Sangha including the Supreme Prelate of the Asgiriya Most Ven. Warakagoda Dhammasiddhi Sri Pagnananda, Gnanarathanabhidhana Maha Nayaka Thero and Anunayaka of the Malwatte Chapter Venerable Dr. Niyangoda Dharmakeerthi Sri Sangarakkitha Vijithasiri Thero, Diyawadana Nilame Nilanga Dela Bandara, Commander of the Army and Commander of the Air Force, senior officers from the armed services, distinguished invitees and a group of devotees were also present on the occasion.
