Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne felicitated 19 naval personnel, who excelled in physical fitness tests, during a ceremony held in this regard at the Admiral Somathilake Dissanayake Auditorium today (07th September 2022). In accordance with the Physical Fitness Policy of the Sri Lanka Navy, these nineteen (19) naval personnel were recognized from dedicated fitness tests held in August 2022. The achievers also received prizes, certificates and insignia during the ceremony presided by Commander of the Navy.

Three hundred and thirty four (334) recruits of the 246th intake of Sri Lanka Navy’s Regular and Volunteer Forces passed out in Boossa on 06^th September 2022, on successful completion of their basic training. The fascinating Passing out Parade (POP) was held at the main parade ground of SLNS Nipuna, keeping with time-honoured naval tradition.
