At the request of the Chief Ministry of the Eastern Province, Trincomalee, the Sri Lanka Navy rendered assistance to conduct First Efficiency Bar Examination for fire services within the departments of local government. The practical examination will be held from 20th to 22nd August 2024 at the Naval and Maritime Academy.

USS O'kane of the United States Navy arrived at the port of Colombo on a replenishment visit today (21st August 2024). The Sri Lanka Navy warmly welcomed the ship upon its arrival.
