Navy educates fishermen on drug prevention and basic life support

The Sri Lanka Navy, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Fisheries, conducted drug prevention and Basic Life Support (BLS) training programmes for fishermen at Cod Bay Fisheries Harbour from 14th July to 08th November 2024.

The programmes were conducted as part of the Naval Social Responsibility initiatives. The event included drug prevention education, BLS training, field triage and ABCD basic trauma care, screening for non-communicable and pre-non-communicable diseases, as well as health promotion and community health education.
