Navy installs medical grade Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant for Dialysis Unit at Anamaduwa Base Hospital

As part of the Naval Social Responsibility (NSR) project, a medical grade Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant, designed for the Dialysis Unit at Anamaduwa Base Hospital, was declared open on 01 Feb 25. The project was set in motion following the initiatives of the Ministry of Health.

This marked the 31st medical-grade Reverse Osmosis plant built, making use of the industrial expertise of the Navy. The newly established facility can provide high-purity water for hemodialysis treatment for 10 kidney patients at a time, with the potential to expand its capacity to accommodate up to 20 patients as needed.

All stakeholders who contributed in numerous ways to the success of this NSR project, participated in the event of handing over the RO plant to the Dialysis Unit of Anamaduwa Base Hospital.
