Navy joins forces in national dengue control efforts
In a concerted effort to combat the spread of dengue fever, the Sri Lanka Navy extended its support to the National Dengue Control Programme, held from 27 to 29 Mar 25 in Trincomalee.
Accordingly, the Eastern Naval Command partnered with the Trincomalee Public Health Inspector Office to conduct this community outreach initiative aimed at detecting dengue mosquito breeding grounds in local neighborhoods. Additionally, the Navy played a key role in raising public awareness on effective measures to curb the spread of dengue-carrying mosquitoes.
