The Indian Naval Ship (INS) Sahyadri arrived at the Port of Colombo on a formal visit 04 Apr 25. The visiting ship was welcomed by the Sri Lanka Navy in compliance with naval traditions.

Japan Maritime Self-Defence Force (JMSDF) BUNGO and ETAJIMA which arrived in Sri Lanka on a goodwill visit on 01 Apr 25, departed the island 04 Apr. The Sri Lanka Navy bade customary farewell to the departing ships at the Port of Colombo, following naval traditions.

A delegation led by Mr. Gabrielle Ivan from U.S. Navy’s Meteorological and Oceanographic Command (NMOC) and Mr. David Lee from U.S. Defence Institute of International Legal Studies (DIILS) met with the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda at the Navy Headquarters on 02 Apr 25.

The Sri Lanka Navy facilitated a series of religious programmes at Nagadeepa Purana Rajamaha Viharaya on 02 and 03 Apr 25. These events honoured the late Chief Incumbent, the Most Venerable Brahmanawaththe Dhammakiththi Tissa Thera, and marked the 64th birthday of the temple’s present Chief Incumbent and Northern Province Chief Sanganayake, the Most Venerable Navadagala Padumakiththi Tissa Thera.
