Twenty-three (23) personnel master asymmetric warfare in Trincomalee

The Special Boat Squadron (SBS) of the Sri Lanka Navy concluded its Asymmetric Warfare Course-2025 on 12 Jul 25 with a certificate awarding and insignia pinning ceremony at the SBS Headquarters. The ceremony was graced by The Commander Eastern Naval Area, as the Chief Guest.

The 10-week intensive training programme saw the participation of twenty-three (23) military trainees from the People's Republic of China, India, Malaysia, Pakistan, and the Sri Lanka Navy. The course, designed to enhance expertise in asymmetric combat strategies, included a blend of theoretical and practical modules covering various aspects of asymmetric warfare.

By conducting courses of this nature, the Sri Lanka Navy reinforces its commitment to strengthening maritime security cooperation with partner nations. The initiative not only enhances interoperability among allied forces but also solidifies Sri Lanka’s role in fostering global defence collaboration.
