Workshop orientates senior sailors on administrative and welfare matters of naval ratings

A one-day workshop organized by the Sri Lanka Navy, on administrative and welfare matters of naval ratings, was held on 28 Aug 25 at the Admiral Somathilaka Dissanayake Auditorium, Navy Headquarters, with the Director General Personnel, Rear Admiral Sanjeewa Premarathna presiding over the occasion.

The programme focused on a broad spectrum of administrative and welfare matters concerning naval ratings, with special emphasis on issues highlighted during inspection visits at Naval Commands. The workshop was attended by the Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy, PRMGB Pussalmankada and a group of senior sailors.

The programme featured in-depth briefings and discussions conducted by Director Naval Personnel and officers, aimed at further enhancing administrative efficiency and welfare measures for naval ratings.

The workshop brought together Senior Sailors of branches, Masters-at-Arms of ships and establishments, Presidents of Senior Sailors' Messes, Chief Instructors of training establishments and Chief Drill Instructors, creating a forum for constructive dialogue and knowledge sharing.
