The 44th edition of the ‘Sayurusara’ Magazine published by the Sri Lanka Navy Media was presented to the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne by the Chief Editor of the magazine, Lieutenant Commander (VNF) SR Sudusinghe at the Navy Headquarters today (31st March 2022).

Coinciding with the National Agricultural Home Garden Development Programme ‘Haritha Deyak’ – 2022, Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne initiated a cultivation programme in Sri Lanka Navy by planting a sapling at Navy Headquarters today (29th March 2022).

In view of its 71st anniversary, Sri Lanka Navy provided a brand-new computer for the use of children of Panama Government Tamil School on 24th March 2022. The event was held under the patronage of Commander Southeastern Naval Command, Rear Admiral Mahinda Mahawatta.

A bilateral naval exercise between Sri Lanka Navy and Indian Navy commenced in seas off Colombo on 26th March and it will be held until 29th March.

The 3rd edition of Navy to Navy Staff Talks between Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) and United States Navy (USN), held at the Navy Headquarters over two days, terminated on a successful note on 23rd March 2022.

Defence Adviser at the High Commission of Kenya in New Delhi and accredited to Sri Lanka, Colonel LP WAFULA called on Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne at the Navy Headquarters today (21st March 2022).

The Prime Minister Hon. Mahinda Rajapaksa presided over the occasion to present the “Pooja Bhoomi Sannasa” (Deed of Gift) to Nagadeepa Purana Raja Maha Viharaya in Jaffna on 19th March 2022. The event, which signified the declaration of the temple premises as a Pooja Bhumi, was attended by Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne.

The annual festival of St. Anthony's Church on the Palaitivu Island, Jaffna was held on 18th and 19th March 2022. Sri Lanka Navy made necessary facilities available for the convenience of pilgrims who attended this religious event.
