The Chief of the Army Staff of India, General Manoj Mukund Naravane who is currently on an official visit to Sri Lanka paid a courtesy call on Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne at the Navy Headquarters today (16th October 2021).

Upon necessary amendments as per the directives of Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne, the existing Sri Lanka Navy Orders (SLNOs) to which the Navy has adhered so long, were accredited and re-launched by the Commander of the Navy at the Navy Headquarters on 14th October 2021.

Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne declared open the newly built four storeyed multi-purpose building at Navy General Hospital, Welisara today (14th October 2021).

The ambassador of Norway to Sri Lanka, HE Joranli Eskedal and the ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands HE Tanja Gonggrijp met Commander Eastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Sanjeewa Dias at the Eastern Command Headquarters on 13th October 2021.

Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne, embarking on a visit to the Northwestern Naval Command, looked into the operational and welfare aspects of the command on 09th and 10th October 2021. Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne and President Navy Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Chandima Ulugetenne joined an occasion to open a Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant built by the Navy in the village of Bakmeegahawatta, Mahawa, on10^th October 2021.

Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne, in company of the President Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU), Mrs. Chandima Ulugetenne, today (09th October 2021) declared open a Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant installed by the Navy in Karuwalagaswewa, Puttalam. As such, the facility was made available for community use at the Siri Sambuddha Galapitagala Temple in Rajavigama, as yet another Naval Social Responsibility initiative, sponsored by the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit.

Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne declared open navy-improved facilities at the Kelinkanda Janapadaya Primary School in Agalawatta of Kalutara District today (07th October 2021). Thus, the Navy vested renovated classroom buildings, plumbing, safety fences, sanitary facilities, playground and other facilities with the children of the school.

The Defence Attaché of the Embassy of Israel in New Delhi and accredited to Sri Lanka, Colonel Assaf Mahler called on Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne at the Navy Headquarters today (06th October 2021).
