'Daham Pahana' Foundation provided financial aid worth Rs. 01 million to Sri Lanka Navy on 13th September 2021, for further expansion of infrastructure at the navy –managed COVID-19 Intermediate Care Centre in Boossa.

An occasion to signify the symbolical handover of 02 oxygen concentrators, intended for the treatment of COVID-19 patients at Navy General Hospital-Welisara, to Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne was held at the Navy Headquarters today (11th September 2021).

Rear Admiral Marcus Perera retired from naval service today (07th September 2021), upon completion of his distinguished career spanning over 35 years in the Navy.

The closing ceremony of the Joint Combined Exchange Training (JCET) Balance Style 02/2021 was held at the Special Boat Squadron (SBS) Headquarters, Trincomalee on 02nd September 2021. Sri Lanka Navy joined hands with the National Blood Transfusion Service to organize this well-intentioned endeavour to collect much needed blood.

The People's Republic of China provided 300,000 Sinopharm vaccine to the Armed Forces of Sri Lanka today (28th August 2021). The consignment of vaccine was officially handed over to the Defence Secretary, General (Retd.) Kamal Gunaratne by Defence Attaché of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Sri Lanka, Senior Colonel Wan Dong at the Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake and the occasion was also attended by Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne.
