Sri Lanka Navy on 03^rd August 2020 bade farewell to Rear Admiral Kassapa Paul who retired from his distinguished naval service that spanned over 34 years.

Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne, after assumption of duties as the 24^th Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, made his mark of respect to fallen naval combatants, at a wreath - laying ceremony held at the Naval War Hero Monument in Welisara today (31^th July 2020). The event has been organized to glorify the memory of naval war heroes who made supreme sacrifice during naval operations that helped eradicate terrorism from the motherland.

Captain Gaku Fukaura, the Defence Attaché at Embassy of Japan in Sri Lanka called on Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne at the Navy Headquarters on 30^th July 2020.

Another twenty one (21) persons who successfully completed their quarantine process at the Boossa and Kalpitiya Naval Quarantine Centres left those centres on 29^th and 30^th July 2020.

Forty two (42) individuals who were undergoing quarantine process at the Naval Quarantine Centres at Boossa Naval Base and in Kalpitiya area, left those centres upon completion of their quarantine process, on 25^th and 26^th July 2020.
