Another 10 naval personnel who had contracted COVID-19 and underwent treatment in hospitals, were discharged from them after gaining full recovery from the virus, confirmed by PCR tests, on 29^th June 2020.

In line with the beach cleaning drives of the Sri Lanka Navy, the Northern Naval Command launched a series of beach cleaning programmes on 27^th and 28^th June 2020, in order to preserve the pristineness of the beaches in the Jaffna Peninsula.

The Navy apprehended a person for hiding 02 elephant tusks in a house, during a coordinated search conducted with the Special Task Force and Department of Wild Life Conservation in New Town – Katharagama on 28^th June 2020.

Twenty (20) inmates who were undergoing quarantine period in Naval quarantine centers at Boossa Naval Base and at Kalpitiya area, left the centers after completion of their quarantine process, on 27^th , 28^th and 29^th June 2020.

SL Navy apprehended 03 persons who attempted illegal fishing without permits for fishing, at Kataspathri area in Mannar, on 25^th June 2020.

The Navy apprehended 08 persons along with 02 dinghies for engaging in illegal fishing using unauthorized nets, during 02 separate search operations in Eastern seas on 26^th and 27^th June 2020. Accordingly, the accused were held in the sea areas off Kandaladi, Wakarai and Sinamweli beach in Trincomalee.

The Certificate awarding and Pinning Ceremony of Bomb Disposal Course commenced according to a concept of the Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva, at the Bomb Disposal Training School in Naval Detachment Mahawa, was held with the participation of the Commandant Naval Land Operations Rear Admiral HLADF Senavirathne, on 25^th June 2020.

The Navy managed to apprehend 04 suspects possessed illegal drugs, during two separate search operations conducted in Middeniya and Unalla in Godagama on 25^th and 27^th June 2020.
