A person along with an elephant tusk hidden in a house was apprehended by the Navy during a joint operation conducted with Police STF, at Gothameegama area in Katharagma, today (18^th May 2020).

Twenty two (22) inmates who were undergoing quarantine period in Naval quarantine center at SLNS Buwaneka in Nachchikuda, Mannar, left the center after completion of their quarantine process, today (18^th May 2020).

Another fifteen (15) naval personnel infected with coronavirus and underwent treatment in hospitals, were discharged from the hospitals being tested negative to COVID-19, on 17^th May 2020.

A haul of cannabis which was hidden in a three wheeler, was apprehend during a operation carried out by Navy in coordination with Police STF, in Kudaoya area on 16^th May 2020.

With completion of their quarantine process another 07 persons left the quarantine centre established at Boossa Naval Base, on 16^th and 17^thMay 2020.

Another twelve (12) naval personnel infected with coronavirus and underwent treatment in hospitals, were discharged from the hospitals being tested negative to COVID-19, on 16^th May 2020.

Two persons with crystal methamphetamine (ICE) drug were apprehended by Sri Lanka Navy during a joint operation conducted with SL Police in Kinniya area, on 15^th May 2020.

The Navy apprehended 04 suspects in possession of heroin and Kerala cannabis, during a coordinated search conducted with the Police in Illuppaikaddawai and Mulankavil areas on 15^th and 16^th May 2020.

During two coordinated operations conducted in Beliatta and Thanamalwila areas on 15^th May 2020 the Navy and the Police Special Task Force (STF) managed to apprehend three (03) persons with Kerala cannabis and a woman with local cannabis.

The Thai-Sri Lanka Buddhist Cultural Center managed by Ven. Rassagala Seewali Thero, has been provided as an isolation center for naval personnel engaged in the arresting campaigns of coronavirus.
