Nineteen(19) other naval personnel infected with coronavirus and underwent treatment in hospitals, were discharged from the hospitals being tested negative to COVID-19, on 11^th May 2020.

Richmond College Team of 2004 donated a stock of Healthcare equipment to the Sri Lanka Navy, required for the safety of the naval personnel on duty at naval quarantine centers. The donation was made at the Headquarters of Southeastern Naval Command, today (12^th May 2020).

Sri Lanka Navy in coordination with Police STF apprehended a person with equipment used for illegal brewing of local liquor, during a raid conducted in Matara area on 11th May 2020.

With completion of their quarantine process another 28 persons left the quarantine centre established at Naval Base SLNS Buwaneka in Nachchikuda, Mannar, today (12^th May 2020).

The Navy General Hospital –Colombo has been converted into a treatment center for persons infected with the new coronavirus, soon after the outbreak of COVID – 19. In this backdrop, retired naval personnel, family members of naval personnel and civil staff employees receiving treatment from monthly clinics of the hospital faced quite a few hardships. Taking these matters into consideration, the Navy arranged a new programme, enabling the clinic attendees to receive their medication from the nearest government hospital.

As a measure of controlling the spreading of new coronavirus in the country, Sri Lanka Navy conducted sterilization programmes at all 2020 railway stations from Galle to Beliatta, today (11^th May 2020).

With the termination of their courses, ten (10) SL Navy personnel who were following training courses in India, arrived to the Southern seas of Sri Lanka onboard an Indian war ship. Thereafter, SL Navy took the returning persons aboard a Fast Attack Craft and accompanied them to the Galle harbour, today (11^th May 2020).

With completion of their quarantine process another 10 persons left the quarantine centre established at Boossa Naval Base, today (11^th May 2020).

Twelve (12) other naval personnel infected with coronavirus and underwent treatment in hospitals, were discharged from the hospitals being tested negative to COVID-19, in the evening on 09^th May and on 10^th May 2020.

The Navy removed branches and debris collected at the underside of Wakwella Bridge in Galle and made its free flow of water, as prior preparation of averting a possible threat of flooding, on 10^th May 2020.
