Another COVID-19 infected naval person who was confirmed positive to coronavirus on 23^rd April 2020 and admitted for treatment to Mulleriyawa hospital, with his full recovery from COVID-19, was discharged from the hospital on 04^th May 2020.

The Navy nabbed a person with a cache of explosives used for illegal fishing, during a search operation conducted in Aliyawalai area, Jaffna on 03^rd May 2020.

In its continuous efforts to control the spread of new coronavirus within the country, the Navy conducted another disinfection programme in the villages of Digannewa and Kumbukwewa in the Divisional Secretariat of Kotawehera, Kurunegala on 03^rd May 2020.

Six (06) persons who engaged in illegal fishing using banned nets at Mundampiddi coastal area in Periya Aru, were apprehended with two fishing craft during a search operation carried out by Navy on 2^nd May 2020.

During a joint operation conducted by Sri Lanka Navy and Divisional Anti Corruption Unit- Galle, a person with heroin was apprehended at Thalapitiya area in Galle, on 02^nd May 2020.

The Leesons Hospital Pvt Ltd. in collaboration with Manusath Derana donated a stock of bottled water and water dispensers to the Sri Lanka Navy, to be used in programmes which are in place to control the spread of coronavirus in the country.
