Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva declared open Sri Lanka’s first-ever underwater museum off Galle shores on 05^th April 2020.

Another six (06) naval personnel who had contracted COVID-19 and underwent treatment in hospitals, were discharged from the hospitals following their full recovery from the virus, confirmed by PCR tests, on 16^th June 2020.

The Navy managed to find an unauthorized fishing net hidden at Palchenei beach, during a search conducted in Kathiraweli on 15^th June 2020.

Another twenty two (22) naval personnel who had contracted COVID-19 and underwent treatment in hospitals, were discharged from the hospitals following their full recovery from the virus, confirmed by PCR tests, on 15^th June 2020.

The Navy apprehended 03 persons for engaging in fishing without valid permit in the sea area of Kumburupiddi in Trincomalee on 13^th June 2020.

Five (05) more individuals who completed their quarantine period at the quarantine centre operated by the Navy in Kalpitiya, left for their homes on 14^th June 2020.

Another thirty three (33) naval personnel who had contracted COVID-19 and underwent treatment in hospitals, were discharged from the hospitals following their full recovery from the virus, confirmed by PCR tests, on 14^th June 2020.

Another beach cleaning drive conducted by the Navy in view of protecting and preserving pristine beaches in the island got off the ground at the Gintota beach with the participation of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva today (13^th June 2020). ‍

The Navy seized a large haul of Kerala cannabis during a special search operation conducted in the sea area of Kusumanthurei, Jaffna on 12th June 2020.
