With identifying COVID-19 infected naval personnel in the Naval Complex-Welisara, measures were followed to keep it as an isolation area and now steps are being taken by Navy to identify the infected personnel and to sterilize the Naval Complex premises.

Three (03) persons who engaged in illegal fishing using banned nets were apprehended by Navy during a search operation carried out in Mulankavil area, on 25^th April 2020.

A Navy Officer who was undergoing treatment for Leptospirosis at Intensive Care Unit in Navy General Hospital, Welisara passed away, on 25^th April 2020.

SL Navy managed to apprehend a person with a stock of venison during a coordinated search carried out with Anti Corruption Unit-Mannar, at Thunakkai area in Illuppaiwakawai, on 24^th April 2020.

Sri Lanka Navy handed over a stock of protective visors to the staff of the Teaching Hospital-Anuradhapura, for the use of medical staff engaged in treatments to the patients, on 22^nd April 2020.

In assistance to the Navy’s quarantine programme to control the spread of coronavirus in the country a stock of required healthcare outfits and equipment was donated to the SL Navy, at the Naval Headquarters, today (24^th April 2020).

Upon confirmation that a naval person from Polonnnaruwa has been infected with the new coronavirus while on leave, the PCR test was conducted to gauge the spread of the disease among other naval personnel who were sharing the same mess and working at the office with the victim in Welisara Naval Complex as well as all his associates.

Three (03) more individuals who completed their quarantine period at the quarantine centre established at Boossa Naval Base, left for their homes today (24^th April 2020).
