The Navy managed to recover about 300kg of Kerala cannabis, during a patrol conducted in the seas off Punkudutivu in Jaffna today (02^nd February 2020).

The Navy has managed to seize over half a ton of Kerala cannabis through its successful operations conducted across the island, since the beginning of this year to date (01^st February 2020).

In view of the 72^nd Independence Day celebrations, the Sri Lanka Navy is ready to showcase a naval spectacle at the Galle Face Green on 04^th February 2020 from 2.00 p.m. onwards.

The Navy rescued a sea turtle, which was trapped in a bag, in the seas off Negombo area, on 29^th January 2020.

The Sri Lanka Navy launched another mangrove plantation campaign under its Mangrove Conservation programme, on 31^st January 2020.

Rear Admiral Lalith Dissanayaka took over the command of North Central Naval Command as its new Area Commander on 31^st January 2020. He served as the Director General Administration at the Naval Headquarters on his previous appointment.
