The Navy, on 06^th February 2020, apprehended a person for fishing without a valid license in the sea area off Mahamodara.

The Chief of the Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Mujhid Anwar Khan, who is on an official visit to Sri Lanka, called on the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva at the Naval Headquarters today (07^th February 2020).

In compliance with the 72^nd Independence Day a week-long general amnesty has been declared for tri-forces absentees. The newly constructed Senior Sailors’ Married Quarters Complex was declared open by the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva at the Naval Complex Welisara today (06^th February 2020). This married quarters complex consisting of 08 houses is equipped with all modern amenities.

The Navy, today (06^th February 2020), rendered assistance to bring ashore an injured fisherman onboard a multi-day fishing trawler.
