The National Sailing Regatta organized by the National Yacht Club was held in the seas off the Crow island in Mattakkuliya on 28^th and 29^th December 2019 and Navy Sailing Pool recorded number of victories at the event.

Two (02) chargers and few gelignite sticks used for illegal fishing were recovered by the Navy during raids carried out at Nilaweli and Poduwakattu areas on 29^th December 2019.

Seven (07) persons who engaged in illegal fishing in the seas off Ambalangoda were apprehended by the Navy in coordination with the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, on 28^th December 2019.
