Navy enhances financial prudence through awareness programme

An awareness programme on the Procurement Guidelines 2024 and the Bid Evaluation process was held on 17 Sep 25 at the Admiral Somathilaka Dissanayake Auditorium, Navy Headquarters. MCPO PRMGB Weeratunga appointed as Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy

In a formal event held at Navy Headquarters on 18 Sep 25, Master Chief Petty Officer AHD Weeratunga was appointed as the new Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy (MCPON). The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda, officiated the proceedings, presenting the MCPON armband and baton to Master Chief Petty Officer Weeratunga and extending congratulations on the appointment. The appointment follows the impending retirement of the outgoing MCPON, Master Chief Petty Officer PRMJB Pussalamankada.
