The 7th edition of “Logistics Conference”, organized by the Long Logistics Management Course (LLMC) No. 9, took place on 31 May 25 at the Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda Auditorium of the Naval and Maritime Academy (NMA) in Trincomalee. The theme of this year’s conference was ‘Leveraging Adaptive Logistics in Building Resilient Supply Chains in a Volatile Global Economy’. The event was graced by the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda, as the Chief Guest, upon the invitation of the Commandant NMA, Rear Admiral Rohan Joseph.

In a significant push towards environmental sustainability, the Sri Lanka Navy engaged in shoreline conservation initiatives at Galle Face on 29 May 25. The programme was conducted to coincide with the National War Heroes’ commemoration.

A two-day Motivational, Leadership, and Team Building programme was successfully conducted for the Sri Lanka Navy Band personnel at SLNS Gemunu on 27 and 28 May 25, under the supervision of the Director of Music (DOM). The Sri Lanka Navy today (30 May 25) bade farewell to Rear Admiral Chinthaka Kumarasinghe as he relinquished his duties to which he was committed over the past 33 years in the Sri Lanka Navy.

Surgeon Rear Admiral Janaka Marambe was inducted as the 9th President of the Sri Lanka College of Military Medicine (SLCOMM) in a ceremony held on 20 May 25 at the Wave n’ Lake Navy Hall in Welisara. The event was graced by the Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda as the Chief Guest, with Consultant Neurologist Dr. Harsha Gunasekara attending as the Guest of Honour.
