Two sniffer dogs belonging to the Sri Lanka Navy Kennels Unit, during a search, detected a consignment of explosives in the general area of Erakkandi in the Eastern Naval Command on 26^th August.

A campaign in view of cleaning the beach areas in the North Central Naval Command was conducted by the naval personnel attached to the command, on last 25th August.
