Four Indian nationals apprehended with 36.1 kg of Kerala cannabis in northern seas

Based on information received by the Navy, a group of naval personnel onboard a Fast Attack Craft attached to the Northern Naval Command, during routine patrol, apprehended four (04) Indian nationals with 36. 1kg of Kerala cannabis in the sea area west of Analathivu island yesterday (16th July).

Seventy Five (75) Midshipmen commissioned as Naval Officers at Naval & Maritime Academy in Trincomalee

Rescue mission of fisherman by SL Navy

Based on information disseminated by the Department of Fisheries & Aquatic Resources, Sri Lanka Navy rescued a Sri Lankan fishing vessel, with 6 fishermen aboard, whilst drifting in the seas about 640 nautical miles south of Dondra Lighthouse.

A cheque worth Rs. 1.69 million, generated by Sri Lanka Navy Hydrographic Service, was handed over to the Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, Vice Admiral Sirimevan Ranasinghe by the Chief Hydrographer of the Navy Rear Admiral Sisira Jayakody at the Naval Headquarters today (12th July).
