On information received by the Navy, Naval personnel attached to the Eastern Naval Command with the assistance of Police STF-Uppuveli apprehended a person while transferring one kg of Kerala cannabis in a three wheeler, during a raid carried out in Nelaweli area yesterday (09th January).

Navy assists to extinguish fire at Kerawalapitiya

With the quick reaction into the fire which broke out at Kerawalapitiya in Colombo, Naval fire fighting teams extinguished it totally, yesterday night. ( 5th January ) Just after receiving the information of this mass fire around the garbage dump at Kerawalapitiya, two Naval fire fighting teams were dispatched to the location immediately.
