Invoking blessings on the 75th anniversary of the Sri Lanka Navy, celebrated on 09 December, a Joint Christian Commemoration & Thanksgiving Service, organized by the Navy Christian Council, was held at St. Lucia's Cathedral, Kotahena on 21 Nov 25. The event was presided over by the Deputy Chief of Staff, Director General Logistics of the Navy, Rear Admiral Ruwan Kalubowila.

In a media briefing held on 24 Dec 25 at the Department of Government Information, the Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) unveiled an extensive series of events to mark its proud 75th anniversary, centering on the upcoming International Fleet Review (IFR) 2025 under the theme “Sailing Strong Together”. The press briefing, presided over by the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda, detailed several days of activities that blend cherished naval traditions with social, ethical, and environmental initiatives.

The main commemoration ceremony of the Armed Forces Remembrance Day – 2025 was held on 16 Nov 25 under the patronage of the Prime Minister, Hon. (Dr.) Harini Amarasuriya at the Cenotaph War Memorial of the Viharamahadevi Park, Colombo. The solemn occasion was also attended by the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda.‍

The Sri Lanka Navy marked World Diabetes Day 2025 by conducting a dedicated diabetes clinic at the Navy General Hospital, Colombo on 14 Nov 25.

The 4th Fast Attack Flotilla (4FAF) hosted a solemn ceremony to mark the 75th anniversary of the Sri Lanka Navy, paying tribute to flotilla’s brave sons who made the ultimate sacrifice for the nation. The families of the fallen 4FAF war heroes were special guests at the event on 14 Nov 25 in Trincomalee, which honoured the bravery of those who helped secure the nation's freedom.

The Annual Humanitarian Assistance in Disaster Relief (HADR) Exercise concluded successfully on 14 Nov 25 at the Disaster Management Training School of the Rapid Action Boat Squadron Headquarters, Gangewadiya.
