On information disseminated by the Sri Lanka Coast Guard, Sri Lanka Navy rendered assistance to transfer an injured fisherman, aboard a multiday fishing trawler, ashore today (01).

A group of naval personnel attached to the Hambantota Naval Deployment apprehended person who was attempting to smuggle 124 kg of copper wire from the Hambantota harbour premises yesterday (30).
