A meeting to address challenges related to the marine ecosystem and sustainable fisheries along the Northwestern coastal belt was convened at SLNS Thambapanni, Puttalam on 11 Nov 25, under the patronage of the Commander Northwestern Naval Area.

The Sri Lanka Navy launched the Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) Exercise 2025 on 12 Nov 25, inaugurating the HADR Symposium at the Disaster Management Training School, Rapid Action Boats Squadron (RABS) Headquarters in Gangewadiya, Puttalam.

The President of the Sri Lanka Armed Forces Veterans’ Association Poppy Committee, Major General Mahinda Mudalige (Retd), pinned a poppy on Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda at Navy Headquarters on 04 Nov 25. This solemn act was conducted in commemoration of Remembrance Day 2025, honouring the service and sacrifice of fallen military personnel.

The Japan Maritime Self-Defence Force (JMSDF) ship AKEBONO which arrived in Sri Lanka on a goodwill visit, departed the island today (31 Oct 25). The Sri Lanka Navy bade a customary farewell to the departing ship at the Port of Colombo, following naval traditions.
