Nine Indian fishermen arrested in Northern seas

Australian delegation headed by the High Commissioner calls on the Commander of the Navy

An Australian delegation comprising nine members including the Australian High Commissioner in Sri Lanka His Excellency Bryce Hutchesson along with Australia's Ambassador for People Smuggling Mr, Andrew Goledzinoski and Commander of Operation Sovereign Borders. Major General Andrew Bottrell, called on the Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratna today (5) at Naval Headquarters in Colombo.

Navy installs Reverse Osmosis Plant at Maithreepala Senanayaka Vidyalaya - Medawachchiya

As another project of the Sri Lanka Navy’s community service programmes carried out with the intention of preventing Chronic Kidney Disease, the Commander North Central Naval Area, Rear Admiral Dimuthu Gunawardena declared open a Reverse Osmosis Plant (RO Plant) installed for the use of school children at Maithreepala Senanayaka Vidyalaya – Medawachchiya today (4).

Forty four Midshipmen pass out through the portals of Naval & Maritime Academy in Trincomalee

At an impressive Commissioning Parade held at the main parade ground of the Naval and Maritime Academy, the premier seat of learning of the Sri Lanka Navy, in Trincomalee today (03), 44 Midshipmen belonging to the 29th (Technical) and 30th intakes of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) passed out as Commissioned Naval Officers of the Sri Lanka Navy.
