Sri Lanka Navy assisted the Sri Lanka Coast Guard to arrest four Indian fishermen along with a fishing trawler poaching in Sri Lankan waters North West of Thalaimannar on 21st December 2015.

The newly-built Aqua Golf Driving Range at the Welisara Naval Complex was declared open by the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne on 18th December 2015.

Naval troops attached to SLNS Thammanna of the North Central Command in a pre-dawn raid conducted on 18th November 2015 on information received, seized a haul of 5 kilograms of gold, which had been hidden inside a fiber glass dingy at the seas of North of Urumalai.
