The Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Jayantha Perera laid the foundation stone for SLNS Uttara Wardroom in Kankasanthurai on 30th May 2015.

The Sri Lanka Navy in collaboration with Asiri Heart Care Center and the Medical Officer of Health (Kayts) organized a Cardiac Camp at J/Dr. A.Thiyagaraja M.M.V. in Karainagar on 24th May 2015 which received a very high response from the general public in the area.

Sri Lanka Navy’s Offshore Patrol Vessel, SLNS Sayura, returned on 27th May 2015 having attended the International Maritime Defence Exhibition (IMDEX Asia 2015), hailed as Asia Pacific's flagship maritime defence show, which was held in Singapore from 19th to 21st May 2015.

The national war hero commemoration ceremony was held at the War Hero Monument in Sri Jayarwardenepura Kotte on 20th May 2015 under the patronage of His Excellency the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Maithripala Sirisena.

The first line of defence of the island-nation, Sri Lanka Navy, took part in the National Ranaviru Commemorative Parade held under the patronage of the President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, His Excellency Maithripala Sirisena in Matara on 19th May 2015.

His Excellency the President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Hon. Ranil Wickremasinghe felicitated the Sri Lankan relief contingent to Nepal at a ceremony held at the Temple Trees on 18th May 2015.

A 20-member study team from the Nigerian National Defence College headed by Commodore Chukwuka Joel Chiejile visited the Naval Headquarters in Colombo on 12th May 2015.

The 14-member Sri Lanka Navy medical contingent dispatched for the emergency relief mission in earthquake-hit Nepal returned to the island on 11th May 2015 after the successful completion of their relief mission.

Sri Lanka Navy celebrated Vesak, which marks the Birth, the Enlightenment and the Passing Away of the Gautama Buddha, in its bases island wide. Naval personnel took part in various religious activities conducted in view of the thrice-blessed day joining the national celebrations.
