The Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Jayantha Perera made an inspection visit to the Welisara Naval Complex on 26th February 2015.

The Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Jayantha Perera declared open the newly constructed 3 storeyed wardroom at SLNS Kelani on 26th February 2015.

Under the able guidance of the Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Jayantha Perera, the Navy's Directorate of Maritime Cooperation succeeded in securing an avenue for the SLN's Executive Branch officers to obtain the Certificate of Competency (COC) for “Navigation Watchkeeping in Near Coastal Voyages (NCV)” category as a result of fruitful discussions held with the Director General of Merchant Shipping.

This year's CISM Day Run organized by the Sri Lanka Air Force was held on 22nd February 2015. Over hundred tri-forces personnel participated in the mega event which was flagged off opposite the Air Force Rifle Green Grounds at 6.15 am.

Navy Sports Club beat CR & FC Sports Club 44 - 20 in a Dialog "A" Division rugby league 2nd round match, which was worked off at the CR & FC Ground in Colombo on 22nd February 2015.

The newly appointed Director General of the Sri Lanka Civil Security Department Mr. Chandrarathne Pallegama paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy Vice Admiral Jayantha Perera at the Naval Headquarters on 18th February 2015.

Navy Sports Club beat Police Sports Club 29–13 in their second round Dialog Inter-club league rugby match, which was worked off at the Welisara Navy Ground in Colombo on 14th February 2015.

A Life Saving and First Aid Certification course was conducted by Mr. Clive Lee, a member of the Surf Life Saving Australia in collaboration with the Life Saving Association of Sri Lanka (LSASL) from 7th February to 09th February at the RABS Headquarters in Gangewadiya.

Two Iranian naval ships IRIS Naghdi and IRIS Bandar Abbas, arrived at the Port of Colombo on 09th February 2015 as part of the overseas tour for the Naval University cadets of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
