A suspect arrested with Crystal Methamphetamine in Kalpitiya

A coordinated search conducted by the Navy and Police in Palliwasalthurai, Kalpitiya resulted in the arrest of a suspect with 3g and 80mg of Crystal Methamphetamine (Ice) on 26 Jan 25.

The search operation was conducted by SLNS Vijaya in the North Western Naval Command in collaboration with the Kalpitiya Police. The operation led to the arrest of the suspect following the search of a house in Palliwasalthurai, where about 3g and 80mg of Crystal Methamphetamine, prepared for sale, were recovered.

The suspect held in this operation was identified as a resident of Palliwasalthurai, aged 34. The suspect together with Crystal Methamphetamine was handed over to the Kalpitiya Police for legal action.
