Navy teams continue to provide relief to people affected by adverse weather

Sri Lanka Navy this morning (01st June 2022) deployed 13 relief teams in flood-risk areas in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Southern provinces to extend relief to flood victims in those areas. Accordingly, the Navy relief teams are currently working in full swing to assist affected communities in respective areas as of now.

Sri Lanka Navy has deployed 13 relief teams in flood-risk areas in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Southern Provinces as of this morning (01st June 2022), to provide relief to the flood victims following the inclement weather prevailing in the island.

Navy remains standby to extend relief to people affected by inclement weather

Sri Lanka Navy deployed 06 relief teams in several places in the Sabaragamuwa and Southern Provinces as of the morning of 31st May 2022. The Navy relief teams have been sent out to respective areas to provide relief to the people who are vulnerable to flash floods, triggered due to adverse weather in several parts of the island.

Sri Lanka Navy rendered assistance to bring ashore an ill fisherman and rushed him for treatment this evening (15th May 2022). The fisherman who was aboard a local multiday fishing trawler had suddenly fallen ill and was in need of medical attention, while in seas off the eastern coast.

Navy brings ashore an ill fisherman for treatment

Sri Lanka Navy rendered assistance to bring ashore an ill fisherman and transfer him to hospital for treatment on the night of 16th March 2022. The fisherman was suffering from chest pain while aboard a local multiday fishing vessel which was about 24 nautical miles (approx. 44km) east of Hambantota.

Navy renders assistance to bring ashore ill fisherman for treatment

Sri Lanka Navy brought ashore an ill fisherman in the high seas and rushed him to hospital for treatment today (21st February 2022). The fisherman who was aboard a local multiday fishing trawler, in seas about 115 nautical miles (about 213 km) off the Galle Lighthouse, had suddenly fallen ill and was in need of medical attention.
