The Sri Lanka Navy seized a consignment of Kendu leaves, weighing about 542kg, and apprehended two suspects (02) and a cab, during a search operation in Puttalam on 09 Dec 25.

In a search operation on 07 Dec 25, the Sri Lanka Navy recovered a stock of foreign-origin cannabis in the Vellai beach area of the Delft Island, Jaffna.

During an operation carried out by the Sri Lanka Navy in the Ippanthivu sea area of Kalpitiya on the night of 05 Dec 25, naval personnel intercepted a dinghy carrying three (03) sacks suspected to contain narcotics, as well as another dinghy that had arrived to assist it, with four (04) suspects.

The Sri Lanka Navy, on 30 Nov 25, rescued 157 persons affected by flooding in the Illuppukadavai and Settikulam areas of Mannar, following heavy rainfall. The rescue operations ensured that all those impacted were safely relocated and provided with essential relief.

The Navy facilitated the urgent transfer of a critically ill child from Analathivu Island to the Karampan Jetty on Kayts Island, Jaffna, last night (30 Nov 25), deploying a naval craft to ensure the child received immediate medical attention.

The Navy extended timely assistance to a stranded vehicle in Chettikulam, Vavuniya, after heavy rainfall triggered flooding in the area.
